This oil painting, created in 2018, and was exhibited as part of the Commonplace exhibition at Crown Street Gallery Darlington.
We all have a face, faces are commonplace.
Yet every face is unique, beautiful, recognisable, intense or distant.
How often do you take the time to really look at someones face? To study their eyes, their other features. Most commonly we see faces for a fleeting glimpse, too soon too look away for fear of creating an awkward moment, or faces are seen in the peripheral view, maybe we look at the faces of our children more than others, but too fast they are grown.
I invite you now to spend the time looking at these faces, and then to look at the faces of those around you, no…. really look.
As always this original painting comes with a hand written, wax sealed parchment for authenticity.
Please message me if you have any questions about the piece.
